Road Hockey Rumble
Airing: Sundays @ 8Am ET
Road Hockey Rumble is a half-hour, in-your-face series that will ultimately be the sole culprit in the degradation of one of our most cherished games. Two true-blood Canadians, Mark and Calum (friends in life but rivals on the road hockey court) travel across Canada in a 13-game grudge match series of road hockey. Stopping each week in a different Canadian community, the boys tap into local rivalries to draft two teams and face off in a kick-ass game of road hockey.
Mark and Calum, two young and rambunctious road hockey captains, gas up their motor home and, with their small film crew, go on a trans-Canada road trip. Friends in life but rivals on the road hockey court, our two hosts zigzag east across the country from the Pacific to the Atlantic in a 13-city marathon series. Stopping each week in a different hockey-mad Canadian community and tapping into local rivalries, the two captains each draft four local players to face off in a hockey rumble on the asphalt court. For each week’s winning team – bragging rights and beer. For the losing Captain – a creative, and at times, painful and embarrassing punishment! This ‘Everyman’s Hockey’ is stitched into the very fabric of our national identity. We’ve all played it, we can all relate to it and Road Hockey Rumble will be its loudest and most obnoxious fan.
